Make your climb special by combining it with a full moon or new moon summit. The full moon summit date will fall on the final day that you attempt to hike to Uhuru Peak; your path during the night ascent will be lit with the light of the moon. Star gazers can select a summit date that falls on a new moon – “summit under the stars”, where the night ascent will be in pitch darkness with billions of stars sparkling high en-route.
